My Life is An Anime! No, really...

So Rolf's friend calls him tonight on his way home from our apartment and lets us know that not only is his bike missing, but so is Rolf's Vespa.

Seriously not cool.  That thing is worth almost a thousand dollars, which puts stealing it well into the felony category (anything over $500 is, actually).  We didn't use it /that/ much for transportation, but we were planning to sell it off eventually and put the money towards a used car (since the Vespa money came from selling Rolf's car from right before he went off to college).  Obviously we're going to report it to the police and the apartment office whose parking garage it was stolen from, but it doesn't have any plates...so I'm unsure as to how they'd be able to identify it and get it back to us.  The steering column was locked and everything, which means whoever took it actually piled it in the back of a truck or van or something, they couldn't just hotwire it and ride off with it.  So I'd be very surprised if the apartment building isn't at least partially liable...especially as the garage locks after 10 PM or so and you can only get in with a key card, so somebody would have to know one of the residents.  And especially if we're not the only ones whose scooter-ish transportation was stolen--there are definitely other scooters in the garage besides Rolf's.

Ugh.  It's just not something we need to deal with right now.  It's not going to break us or anything, but I'm going to be very, very pissed if we can't recoup the Vespa or its cost from all of this.  At the very least there should be security camera footage or something to help track down the idiot who stole the Vespa and bike and who knows what else.

And I still need to call the roommate's insurance company to figure out who I'm supposed to be sending my medical bills to as a result of the car wreck back in January :|

Hit 20k this morning, hopefully will get to 25k by this evening.  I need to go work on my furisode kimono right now though.  And do some laundry.  And eat some food.
